Bare Play FAQ

How often do you have parties?

We try to have them at least once a month. But on special occasions there can be two in a month.

Where are your parties?

Our house in South Tempe.

What are the testing requirements?

Per couple, we require at least one test per partner, every other month. This is a good compromise between the financial burden of testing on a consistent basis and the safety protocols that we promise our club members. We understand that it isn't 100%. No protocol will be perfect. But we try to strike a balance.

What panel is required to join the club?

Your first test will require a full panel (oral, rectal and genital for Chlamydia & Gonorrhea) by both partners. This includes M-Gen (Mycoplasma Genitalium) as well. You can obtain a home testing kit from mybls.com for all the STDs that we need you to test for, for your initial test. That test is called the "Ultimate Hero" kit and as of this writing it is $228. You can also go to any provider of your choice. But the following things must be tested for:

  • Chlamydia (Genital/Oral/Rectal)

  • Gonorrhea (Genital/Oral/Rectal)

  • Trichomoniasis (Genital)

  • Mycoplasma genitalium (MGen) (Genital)

  • Hepatitis B

  • Hepatitis C

  • HIV 1/2 (4th Gen Ab/Ag and PCR)

  • Syphilis

What about HSV testing?

We do not require HSV testing. A vast swath of the human population has one HSV or another as well as HPV. If you are in the lifestyle for any length of time, you have played with someone that has HSV (and probably HPV) and didn't even know it because most people do not reveal they have it (or don't even know for that matter). We just ask that if any member does have HSV1 or HSV2 that they pay attention to their body and if they even suspect they might have an outbreak or an impending outbreak, that they refrain from attending any party. If you are uncomfortable with this policy, we totally understand and this club is not for you.

What panel is required?

We require a "3 site test" from one partner every other month. This means Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis, Mycoplasma genitalium (MGen). And the Chlamydia and Gonorrhea should be collected orally, genitally and rectally. The home STD test for this one is called "STD Common" at mybls.com and is $129 as of this writing.
